(English) The LUKAS approach strives for a low latency, secure, and reliable communication between all components und road users of a local traffic environment, e.g. an urban intersection. The components and road users which are involved in the LUKAS system context are automated and/or connected vehicles (L0-L4), a mobile edge computing server (edge-server), infrastructure-based environment sensors including communication units and sensor processing units as well as nomadic devices of the vulnerable road users. By this approach the LUKAS project strives for improving of the traffic efficiency and safety in future mixed traffic situations in urban environments.
